Typical range: 3-10 working days for most states, assuming your issuing university or board is already recognized in the state’s database.
What Causes Delays
- Verification backlog — some states process a high volume of requests during peak graduation and hiring seasons (roughly March-June and September-November)
- Institution not yet listed — if your university or board isn’t already in the state’s recognized-institution database, HRD may need to verify it directly with the institution, adding several extra days
